Moving on to today’s dose of optimism, I would be discussing a vital ingredient for an ecstatic life. What I am pointing towards is ‘SELF LOVE’, the art of making yourself a priority once in a while. It is not selfish, it’s necessary. Here’s why:

The kind of world we exist in today is constantly trying to drag us down. There are people making benefits by telling us that ‘you aren’t enough’ because that’s the easiest way to breed self-doubt into someone’s mind and devastate his/her potential. Therefore, it is crucial to make sure that we don’t let such anchors plant us down.

Not just others, sometimes we are our own anchors. We constantly tell our minds that “You are not enough” and we think we require some external force to put things our way. But let me quote here, “if you’re searching for that one person to change your life, look into the mirror”. Self-belief, self-love, and self-care are our prime responsibilities. They will act as our shield and not let a single element of negativity or discouragement touch us.

Round the clock, all of us are focused on our imperfections and strive to conquer them. This is a great way to grow, I agree! But at the same time, it is also true that each one of us is blessed with one thing or the other. When we recognize our strengths, they act as the ultimate self-esteem boosters.

We must treat ourselves the way we want to be treated. When we practice seeing the good in ourselves, we are trained to see the good in others. When we practice loving ourselves, we are equipped to be compassionate towards others. And lastly, when we help ourselves, we become capable of helping others. This way, the world that we will knit around ourselves will have minimal disappointments and soaring happiness.

And as they say, ‘when you make peace with your present, you are ready to conquer more in your future’.

Cheers!
